We opened the fund in 2014 in order to continue to take advantage of real estate market opportunities.
The fund officially closed on March 31st, 2017, and we’ve recently finished the last of the asset sales. During the life of the fund, we purchased and sold nearly one-thousand properties, five-hundred non-performing mortgages, and modified over one-hundred notes. Our team worked hard and adjusted our business model as the market shifted away from lower value properties sold in bulk, to higher value properties purchased mainly from the auction companies.
The overall return of the fund was an annualized 19.72%.
Through consistent networking and establishing ourselves as a known player in this industry, I believe we were successful in our goal to find assets with great potential for the fund. I am very proud of our entire team, who worked with extreme diligence on behalf of the fund and were able to adjust quickly when a new type of distressed asset was introduced to our business model.
